Adrenal Zone

Not so much a place as it is a condition.

When it’s time to reboot I grab my mountain bike and do this 12 miles up and down Lower Colfax road(starting at 3100 feet altitude). The distance covers a 400 foot drop. By mile one the adrenalin has kicked in, and sweat is flowing except in December and January. If I keep the pace up, there ain’t no steam left when I’m home.. It also gives me time to either think or create

I could do without taste for a year?

Providing it was taste in clothes

Alernately

Hearing, as long as it meant I wouldn't be able to hear bullshit

Sight, as long as it meant I couldn't see mans inhumanity to man

Smell, not probable because I'd be able to see stuff that just stinks.

Touch, well... we all know I'm touched. How ya gonna undo that?

My 40s   Sanity

My 50s   A guy my age getting hired to write software in a time when 19 year olds fresh outta college and people from India were a dime a dozen nailed it

Send them off thinking

Time:

They live forever, they aren't carbon based.

They're only here because their galaxy is overpopulated.

The four horsemen are wasted on them.

Freak em out with time, decay. and death

Waking up

1. Waking up
Do we really have to go into it?

3. No 911 calls

Self explanatory.

911 takes up so much of the day.

When you finally realize that all you really have in life is minutes, throwing away minutes kinda puts the hurt on a day.

2. Getting the coffee right

Don't know why but ya do it the same day in and day out and too often it just comes up carburetor cleaner.

4. Well executed work flow

Get the most out of them minutes

5. There’s probably more

We’ll see how today goes.

Solar panels

Well now, let me see…

My ride…

Hmmmm…

I do a lot of back roading(not off roading)

A new set of Michelin LT 6 plys to keep the flats down…

I like to take a guitar and some sheet music and go into the hills and play…

What would be super cool would be…

Put a slot on the lumber rack to hold 2 Kyocera 175 watt solar panels…

They could be inserted upon arrival at the place I’m going…

    Where ever that is…

Now I could take a real amp and the “Ibanez Artcore(guitar)”

Yeh, Yeh that’s the ticket…

Electric with no generator sound…

Just me n a few select chords…

When ya start playing guitar, birds start singing(really)

Damn this isn’t a story about my ride…

The truck is just how I get there…

Could be an Oldsmobile, except for the lumber rack…

Freedom of sorts…

A gift of Music Lessons

I’m quite one dimensional in this regard. I’m quite focused on the direction of my life. I have a great number of lusts. They are all guitars and amps. However until my hands become better trained those items will be wasted. Every one is aware that if gifting comes around, get me lessons with Rob Bonner.

One day, one day

If you were to ask my wife it’d be finishing what I start.

But “HA”, ya dint asked me wife!

In my life I’ve mastered

     auto mechanics

     Motorcycle racing

     Software engineering

well enough to make a living wage.

Of these it’s the racing which I’m the most proud.

It took sweat tears and blood and plaster.

The others were pure intuition, piece of cake.

When I was 14 I saw the Everly Brothers. That evening I thought that would be a good thing to do. [I feel that]People that choose to and can create music for others to hear are some of the luckiest people on earth. This pursuit has evaded me for 55 years.

14 years ago my wife got off the plane from Detroit with a gift from my brother in law. An old Martin guitar. It went under the bed for 12 years. Then for my birthday she got me a Takamine from Costco. It occurred to me that now I had two guitars, hmmm time to get on with it. For one year I purchased guitars and accessories trying to find that magic item which would convert me into a musician. Dint happen. I’m currently taking lessons at the local junior college. I hope now that I live long enough to take one of the instruments, go out onto a local street or park, play music(no tip jar) and not get rocks and sour produce pitched at myself.

So there!

Savoy Brown Boogie by Savoy Brown

Summer times the best time to dance on grass.

This'll get your boogie up

Dear Jill by Blodwyn Pig

Great blues, recorded before overproducing sort of ruined music

Dump run?

another dump run (1080 pounds)

Are there any valid explanations for procrastination?

It’s very far out there.

They raised the gate price

The view from the dump is the best in the county,

but ozone is blocking the view.

I need one more cubic foot to make it a bargain.

I can’t find the tarp to cover it.

My wife “told” me to do it.

I’m waiting for my Muse.

Didn’t want to do it in the first place.

Man I’m too stoned to drive right now

Is that really funny

Turn of the moment.

Someone uttering something out of context.

Out of context or out of place usually tweeks the human grin response.

For Instance

In the middle of breakfast

"You fucking bitch you've ruined my life"

At the UN

"Iraq has aluminum tubes, therefore they're gonna make WMDs"

At communion

"As long as I'm down here is your sex life doing OK?"

'Oh, hi, Buddha. You free for dinner Wednesday?'

Buddha
To see if he had really reached a state of peace, grace and enlightenment with my own eyes and ears. Plus I’d be able to see if he were really a little fat man worthy of his legend.

Mark Twain
A touch of humor, irreverence and realism never hurt a dinner party

Judas Iscario
He of all people could speak of Christ.

Hermann Göring
Someone would have to speak to the sociopath lifestyle.

The guys that were getting laid regularly

1955-1957:

I was full of pure anger.

I was picking fights with the biggest guys I could find.

I was doing burglary and car theft.

I was in jail a lot.

In retrospect, gettin laid seems it'd of been a better route
